When the author became a grandfather the bedtime story reading ritual continued on with the grandchildren. The grandchildren felt that the author was a great storyteller. When they entered school they asked their teachers if their grandfather could read their favorite stories to their classes. That was the beginning of a long tradition of the author reading stories to elementary classes.
