4to. two-hole punch cloth. unpaginated, but around 100 pages. A lovely student-made workbook composed of a preface, table of contents, long essay, and specimens tipped-in, some in full color. Includes examples of correct and incorrect styles of typography, spacing, layout, and color printing. This book is supposed to act as a first-time opportunity for students to compose their own type specimen book. Printed recto only. This specimen book not only shows the work done by the individual student in printing, but serves as a guide for the student, (though they may never teach printing) as most of the specimens contained in the book are used in the school system. An excellent look at the understanding of creating your own type specimen book.
