With 450 duotone photos/illustrations, 16 color plates, Introduction, Prologue, Acknowledgements, and Bibliography. Four primary sections/chapters titled as: "The Renaissance 1450-1600;" "The Baroque 1600-1750;" "The Classical 1750-1825;" and "The Romantic 1825-1900."
