THE LOOT CODE: Cracking the Corruption Algorithms in Africa Using AI, Data, and Tech to Disrupt the Cycle of Graft

The Loot Code: Cracking the Corruption Algorithms in Africa
By Edison Uviase

What if corruption wasn’t just a crime—but a code? A system? An algorithm?

In The Loot Code, author and reform advocate Edison Uviase unpacks one of Africa’s most persistent challenges—corruption—and reframes it as a digital, structural, and systemic problem that can be understood, predicted, and dismantled.

This bold and timely book reveals how public theft in Africa follows patterns—repeatable schemes, institutional loopholes, and invisible networks that drain billions from healthcare, education, infrastructure, and innovation. But this isn’t just a diagnosis—it’s a plan of action.

Uviase brings together technology, policy, and civic activism to show how tools like AI, blockchain, open data, and civic tech platforms are already being used to crack the system. Through powerful case studies from Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and beyond, The Loot Code provides readers with an inside look at:

✅ How corruption behaves like an algorithm—and how it can be disrupted
✅ Real digital tools already transforming transparency and accountability
✅ The role of youth, startups, and civic innovation hubs across Africa
✅ Practical reforms, whistleblower protections, and legal frameworks for change
✅ A call to action for a generation of “codebreakers” committed to rewiring Africa’s future

Whether you're a policymaker, technologist, entrepreneur, student, or engaged citizen, The Loot Code offers a roadmap for how Africa can harness its digital potential to defeat one of its oldest enemies—and build institutions that truly work for the people.

Break the silence. Break the system. Break the loot code.
