Hardback, 3-volume, boxed set of J.R.R. Tolkien's classic trilogy The Lord of The Rings in VERY GOOD condition with slipcase in VERY GOOD condition. This trilogy consists of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King. Published by Houghton Mifflin Company: Boston, 1965, Revised, Second Edition. No ISBN. All three books have matte black cloth covers with gilt lettering on the spines and a gilt logo on the front cover. Each front cover has the same logo, printed in different metallic colors. Each book contains the original fold-out map glued on the rear endpapers. Book size: approx. 6 x 9 x 1.25 inches. No writing or marking within. Each book is in better condition than its corresponding dust jacket. The matte black SLIPCASE (approx. 6 x 9.25 x 4 inches) with red pasted-on title plate is in VERY GOOD condition, showing minor wear and light fading along the opening.
