Early reprint (as dj front flap lists sixteen titles in the series as does half-title leaf verso). [2], i-viii, 1-209 pages. Hardcover: H 19.25cm x L 13cm. Dust jacket with color pictorial front panel and spine; a few nicks and shallow chips at spine and flap fold ends; light soiling to white rear panel and at top edge of rear flap with latter also having creased top corner; front flap's top corner is price-clipped; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Reddish-brown boards; minor bumping at spine ends; touch of scuffing at board corners. Dark purple top edge; slight soiling to fore-edge and bottom edge; bottom corners of pages 55-60 creased. Interior pages are clean. Binding retains some crispness. A very good+ copy in a very good- dust jacket. With endpaper maps of Spindrift Island and a b/w frontispiece illustration. Authorship of the first three books in the Rick Brant series is attributed to Harold Goodwin and Peter J. Harkins but the remainder of the series, i.e. books 4 through 24, are credited as solo efforts by Goodwin. {JuvLit-#2}.…
