L’Offrande Lyrique (Gitanjali). By Ravindranath Tagore. 1st French edition and translated by Andrew Gide. 1913. 132 + [4] pp. 6.75” x 4.25”. Softcover with original covers. Overall good, with some discoloration and light scuffing to exterior. Covers remain affixed and text block remains bound well. Light markings at front. Marked as #137 of 500 total copies. Includes detached errata slip at rear. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce first edition in French. Ravindranath Tagore (1861-1941) was a Bengali polymath who was the first Asian to win a Nobel Prize in any category, receiving a Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913. A rare limited edition in its original covers.
