Paris, La Connaissance, 1926. Ingenaaid met stofomslag, bedrukt in zwart en met het vignet in goud (rechts op het plaatje). 174 (= 172) p. Gedrukt door Charles Nypels in rood, blauw en zwart in een oplage van 430 genummerde exemplaren. Met portret en titelvignet in houtsnede door Raphaël Drouart. Onvermijdelijke lichte beschadigingen aan omslag. Ongenummerd exemplaar in druk bestemd voor de invloedrijke karikaturist Louis Raemaekers, aan wie in 1922 een eredoctoraat was verleend door de universiteit van Glasgow - vandaar dat er Dr. L. Raemaekers staat. Schaarse variant: het omslagvignet is meestal in zwart gedrukt, ook bij de Romeins genummerde exemplaren. Bovendien is dit boek gedrukt op een zwaardere, ruigere papiersoort: Ossekop, niet het gebruikelijke Pannekoek. Indrukwekkende typografie. Cat. Nypels 22 ( Er zijn ook exemplaren bekend op Van Gelder, Ossekop ). Een exemplaar op Pannekoek (ook mooi) met het vignet in zwart is te bekomen voor 30 euro, zie het linkerplaatje. All prices are in Euro, tax included, but without postage and bank charges which are at buyer's expense. Shipping of books after receipt of payment. Books may be returned within 7 working days (prior notification welcome). A full refund can be expected if the books do not match the description stated.
