Very poor condition. Sold as is with all faults. Hardcover: H 15.5cm x L 10cm. Lacking preliminary leaves from ffep inclusive to page 8, 15-16, 31-32, as well as missing rear free endpaper and perhaps a rear flyleaf too; top half of unpaged b/w plate facing page 17 clipped-out. Pages 9-12 detached but present followed by 17-30, 33-279. Past owner's signature in antiquarian ink on text block's top edge. Text block detached from boards/spine with pulled leaves/quires, old pencil and antiquarian ink markings/writing, frequent foxing, some stains, etc. Book's flawed condition partially redeemed by front pastedown scarce antebellum bookseller ticket for Frierson & Teasdale, Columbus, Mississippi; pale yellow ticket has losses at edges and surface abrasion causing some loss of lettering. There are no extant records of the Frierson-Teasdale partnership but the "Teasdale" was quite likely Dr. Thomas Cox Teasdale (1808-1891) who served as the ninth pastor of Columbus' First Baptist Church from 1858 until 1863.…
