Tragic encounters enter the life of the central character, Selma, whose life was on a consistent course. Her life is changed forever on a rain soaked night in the Florida Keys. Slipping out of bed to check on his boat at midnight, Ware would never again be seen alive by his devoted wife. Finding him dead a few hours later, Selma's life would be forever altered. In her quest to take control of her life and her child's, she encounters two very different men who furthur complicate her aims for a stable life for herself and her daughter. Headstrong, she becomes embroiled in the transfer of illegals from Cuban shores and unwittingly becomes a pawn for the CIA. The highly descriptive style of this writing, combined with a keen attention to detail will further enhance the appeal of this book.

I lived in many places in my life and love to write books about all those areas and the people living there. My first published work was a short story at age ten and I have not stopped writing, as my love for writing has never flagged. This particular book was written out of my own experiences from the time I was a lobster fisherwoman in the wonderful Florida Keys. To the people who take their livelehood from the waters of the world, to these heroes I give my greatest respect. I write with the hope that others will find my work enjoyable and time spent well.
