About the Author
Anne Enright est née en 1962 à Dublin, où elle vit et travaille, collaborant notamment à la BBC Radio.
À seize ans, elle part étudier au Canada où elle se plonge dans l'oeuvre de Pinter qui influencera sa vision de la littérature. À l'université d'East Anglia, elle suit les ateliers d'écriture d'Angela Carter et Malcolm Bradbury, et s'initie aux auteurs américains.
De retour en Irlande, elle collabore à la London Review of Books ainsi qu'au Irish Times.
Elle a publié un recueil de nouvelles, La Vierge de poche, qui a remporté le Rooney Prize for Irish Literature, ainsi qu'un roman, La Perruque de mon père (Éditions Joëlle Losfeld, 2000).
L'Air de quoi ? a été nominé pour le Whitbread Award 2000. Elle a obtenu le Man Booker Prize en 2007.
