Synopsis

The Lamb Loved First

A tale of a King's treasure... and the thief who found it.

In a kingdom overflowing with splendor, a mighty King rules with kindness and joy. Of all his riches-his gold, his jewels, his vast and shining throne-there is one treasure he loves most: a gentle, spotless lamb who rests at his side.

But beyond the castle walls, a thief mistakes treasure for trinkets. Drawn by glittering gold yet blind to what truly matters, he breaks in under cover of darkness. What follows is a rescue no one expects.

When greed drags the thief into a pit of ruin, it is not the King's sword that pursues him-but the Lamb.

In a breathtaking act of courage and compassion, the Lamb descends into danger, bearing shame, sacrifice, and sorrow to bring the guilty man home. Through lyrical verse and rich imagery, this allegorical story paints a vivid picture of grace that chases, love that cleanses, and mercy that restores.

Inspired by 1 John 4:19-"We love because He first loved us"-The Lamb Loved First helps children grasp the heart of the Gospel in a way that is both beautiful and profound. With poetic cadence reminiscent of classic read-aloud favorites and theological depth that invites family discussion, this story gently asks: Do you see yourself in the thief? Do you see the treasure in the Lamb?

Perfect for children ages 6-12 and the grown-ups who read with them, this unforgettable tale reminds us all of the King's greatest treasure-and the love that loved us first.
