Summer of 1950, Marine Reservists go to war in Korea and find love along the way. Marine operations include the Pusan Perimeter battles, the Inchon Landing, and the Chosin Reservoir campaign.
Robert Riggs, a career Marine, is a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Later, in the Department of Defense Senior Executive Service, he served as the senior civilian logistician in the Marine Corps. A native West Virginian, he now lives with his wife, Marrea, in Winchester, Virginia. He is at work on two other novels, White's Creek, a story of life in rural West Virginia during World War I, and Sakura, set in Japan and Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
