Tev believed Aya did not actually want to end her life, everyone wants to live, it is embedded in one’s soul. People want a better life, to escape the pain and the hurt. It is easy to forget everything passes, even the tough times. She needed a friend and Tev would be just that.

Unjustly exiled by a powerful Minister to the strange, all-consuming Lands of Dark, the girl, Aya tells Tev of a way out of the lands, derived from the stolen Book of Laws.

They venture to find the landmarks stated in the book, which will lead them to Orta—a doorway back to the Lands of Light. Keeping the evils of the land at bay with a glowing crystal—its light strengthened by their bond, a bond stronger than life itself.
