Add to basketA stone well construction with a winch and bucket, surrounded by trees and shrubbery. Etching on laid paper, made by Jacob Lutma after Jan Both, from a set of four similar landscapes. Published by Frans Carelse (active 1665-1683). Sheet size 201 x 262 mm., platemark 124 x 143 mm. Jacob Lutma (died 1654) was a Dutch silver- and goldsmith, and a number of his etchings reflect this occupation. Jan Both (1618/22 - 1652) was a Dutch painter, draughtsperson and printmaker, and famous for his Italianate landscapes. In very good condition, sheet overall a little browned, attached to carrier.
