About this Item
A large tree with gnarled roots to the right. In the center of the image a group of figures seated in the grass. Print number 1 from a series of eleven landscapes. Engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 217 x 177 mm., engraving by Frederik Bloemaert (Utrecht 1614/17-Utrecht 1690) after Abraham Bloemaert (Gorinchem 1566-Utrecht 1651), published by Covens & Mortier in Amsterdam, after 1647. In good condition, cropped within platemark, attached to carrier. A few dark stains in the top edge of the image. Reference: Roethlisberger 352: 570. Seller Inventory # 70218
