The Last Amphora: The Inheritance

Beneath the volcanic soil of Campania, some secrets were never meant to be uncovered.

When successful Neapolitan lawyer Antonio Diocleziano inherits his late uncle’s abandoned vineyard near Baia, he intends only to inspect the property and sell it as quickly as possible. But the decaying estate hides far more than neglected vines and fading family memories. Buried beneath the ancient land lies a mystery stretching back to the Roman world, to forgotten rituals, prophetic wine, and a secret guarded for centuries.

As Antonio is drawn deeper into his family's history, he uncovers fragments of an ancient legend linked to the Sibyl of Cumae, mysterious amphorae, and a hidden lineage tied to visions of the future itself. Together with Evelyn Moore, an American researcher fascinated by the intersection of archaeology, genetics, and myth, Antonio begins a journey through subterranean tunnels, volcanic ruins, and dangerous truths about powerful forces desperate to possess them.

But some knowledge comes at a terrible price.

Blending historical mystery, mythology, archaeology, wine culture, and psychological suspense, The Last Amphora: The Inheritance is the first volume of an atmospheric thriller trilogy set in the haunting landscapes of Naples and the Phlegraean Fields — where the past is never truly buried, and destiny waits beneath the earth.
