Entire issue, Extra Series, Numbers 56 - 58, Volume II, Nos. 32 - 34, February, 1843, 107pp, printed in double columns, ads, without covers, apparently from a bound volume, light occasional foxing, faded water staining, old ink signature at first page, minor wrinkling at occasional internal pages. Copied complete from the correct London edition as noted by the editor. Between 1840 and 1849, publisher J. Winchester and editor Park Benjamin, a poet and writer in his own right, issued popular books of the day in a cheap, inexpensive format as "extras" to their New World magazine. The titles published were often first American editions as New World reportedly printed through the night after getting copies of books by meeting ships from Europe at the ports of call. Books at the time were not protected by international copyright. Very scarce.
