The Last Passing

Book Three of The Thirteen Flames Saga

The world is awakening, but awakening is not the same as healing.

Ancient towers burn again. Forgotten roads lead beyond the borders of Virtaria. Across distant settlements, fragments of memory, old symbols, and long-silent traditions are returning. As Caelan journeys beyond the world he thought he knew, he discovers that history survived in more places, and in more forms, than anyone imagined.

But recovering the past is only the beginning.

When Caelan returns to Virtaria, he finds a world ready to rebuild. The deeper question is how. The Keepers once tried to protect what had been entrusted to them, and their best intentions slowly hardened into possession, certainty, and control. Now Luceran and Aurelion must confront the consequences of choices made centuries before, while a new generation must decide what faithful stewardship should become.

For Caelan, the final struggle is the most personal of all. He has learned how to receive responsibility, how to carry it, and how to serve. Now he must learn whether he can release it. As the remaining journals wait unopened and the world begins moving forward without him, Caelan faces a truth every steward must eventually confront: faithfulness is not measured by how tightly we hold what we have been given, but by whether we prepare others to carry it farther.

The Last Passing is the concluding volume of The Thirteen Flames Saga, an epic Christian fantasy of memory, freedom, redemption, and ordinary faithfulness. It is a story about the danger of becoming indispensable, the courage required to trust the next generation, and the enduring truth that what is faithfully entrusted was never meant to end with us.
