The Last Ride (Necro Pulse Tales)

She only came for the weekend.
Kym Hope hasn't taken a day off in five years. Two days at a Florida theme park. No patients, no emails, no ex-husband. That was the whole plan. Then the dead start walking. Within an hour the park is a slaughterhouse. Forty thousand people, one exit, and something in the crowd that doesn't stop when you shoot it.
The screaming spreads faster than the infection.
The military seals the gates and leaves everyone inside to rot. Everyone except her. Because Kym Hope is not a tourist. She's an ex-soldier, and the instincts the Army carved into her never switched off. She counts exits. She reads crowds. She knows what a kill zone looks like from the wrong side of the wire. Now a handful of terrified survivors are looking at her like she has a plan, and she is the only thing standing between them and the horde. She'll get them out. Whatever it costs her. Duty does not end just because the mission changes beyond recognition.
