Binding designed by Margaret Armstrong with her monogram to front cover. Hardcover with beveled boards, full periwinkle ribbed cloth binding, all edges gilt, front cover and spine decorated in gilt and white, grey endpapers with red floral device; pages of thick stock, six sepia tone plate illustrations, all text pages with 1- or 2-color decorative frame and vignette above text, 7-7/8? tall, unpaginated, illustrated by Frederick Simpson Coburn. Head of spine panel bumped, very slight wear to corners, spine cloth darkened at foot. A classic Margaret Armstrong binding with gilt vines and white flowers. This edition was also published in limp leather and in a limited vellum edition, but both of those bindings use only gilt for the cover decoration.
