The Last Vikings

The Last Vikings is a historical fantasy sourcebook designed to enrich Baptism of Fire RPG campaigns. It is fully compatible with Lion & Dragon and other OSR systems with minimal adjustment. Set in the late 10th century, this supplement explores the legendary Viking bastion of Jomsburg, the final redoubt of pagan Norse warriors on the Pomeranian coast of Poland.

Rooted in medieval lore and set during a time of religious upheaval, The Last Vikings plunges players into the tension between the old gods and the rising tide of Christianity. Centered on the fortified island of Wolin, believed by many scholars to be the historical Jomsburg, the book presents a vivid setting where hardened "Jomsvikings" defend their pagan traditions. At the same time, Norse mercenaries, traders, and outlaws drift through the Pomeranian frontier.

Whether players take on the roles of staunch pagan warriors, exiled raiders seeking refuge, or conflicted Norse converts navigating a fractured religious world, The Last Vikings offers deep narrative potential. Complete with political intrigue, religious conflict, and brutal skirmishes, this sourcebook is a rich addition to any medieval campaign, offering a unique lens on a little-known but powerful mythic stronghold of the Viking Age.
