Are You Laughing At Me? (Paperback)

Paperback. The short stories contained in Are You Laughing At Me? about the author's sailing trips along the spectacular coast of British Columbia will make you laugh out loud. Even though he is accompanied and supervised at all times by his Coast Guard trained wife, an Alpha female aka the Admiral, John Wayne Sears is never far from disaster. In other misadventures, he bumbles his way through Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama and, on two occasions, the deep wilderness of his own home province. Always teetering on the brink of humiliating failure, John is a left hander trapped in a right handed world. Business success eludes him, his staff outfoxes him, tropical bugs dine on him and each body of water into which he blunders tries to drown him. But despite these calamaties, our un-hero's sense of humor is undiminished. In other moments the writer's skill as a wordsmith enables him to evoke emotion and mood and his descriptive passages allow the reader to accompany him on the restless ocean, into dark jungles and thick forests. ARE YOU LAUGHING AT ME? Yes, John, we are! This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
