Meet a boy who's bullied and see how he heals...

Nick has everything he’s ever wanted: a loving wife, two grown children, and a quiet life on Long Island. But beneath the surface, he’s unraveling.

Haunted by childhood trauma and the ghosts of his past, he finds solace in the rhythm of domestic routines – especially in the hum and hush of his weekly visits to the local laundromat. There, among the spinning dryers and the scent of detergent, Nick meets Nicholas – a teenage boy with silent eyes and bruises too deep to name.

At first, Nick just listens. But as their unlikely connection deepens, it stirs something in Nick he thought was long buried.

The Laundromat by Nick Rato is a memoir of reckoning and redemption. It explores the lifelong impact of bullying, the quiet endurance of love, and the unexpected ways we find healing in each other.

A ground-breaking book about bullying, childhood trauma and ultimately a memoir proving the hope of healing. This memoir is important for anyone experiencing the effects of bullying on their mental health and to raise bullying awareness in schools and other settings.
