About the Author

Amanda Des Roches is originally from Waianae, Hawaii. She grew up in a military family and moved every few years, but somehow always ended up back home on Oahu. She is a veteran of the United States Air Force and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. She currently lives on a mini-homestead in Virginia with her husband, their three children, a boxer named Teddy, a flock of egg-laying hens, and two goats. Amanda homeschools her children and shares their adventures on a podcast (hosted by her children) called “Threesies Podcast.” She was inspired to write this book with her children, based on actual events in their home.
