Good. Small-format Victorian legal handbook from The Useful Library series, addressing the law relating to landlords and tenants, including practical guidance and forms. Original printed cloth boards, now heavily worn and darkened, with significant surface soiling, fading, and loss to cloth, particularly to the spine and edges. Title and text to the front cover are partially obscured but still discernible. Corners rubbed; spine frayed with losses at head and tail. Internally, pages show age-related toning and foxing, with occasional heavier spotting. Text remains legible throughout, and the book is complete with no missing pages. Binding is holding but fragile, consistent with age and use. A genuine mid-19th-century working law manual, offered as a well-worn but intact reference copy.
