Synopsis

He also introduces a unique perspective on soul mates: when you look at your previous lives, the people you are having complications or conflicts with in this life are actually people that have been in many different relationships with you throughout various reincarnations. ...In your life training, there are people who you are required to meet...The people you have close relationships with are all connected to the same branch of the Tree of Life. It is a sin to hate or loathe each other...because you would be loathing, damaging, and trying to cut off another branch that is connected to the same bough of life as you. In many cases, the person that you despise or hate has an extremely deep spiritual tie with you, and is someone you have met many, many times in your previous lives. He states that the realization of this truth is the key to solving hatred and conflicts that plague the world today.

About the Author
Ryuho Okawa, founder of Happy Science, has devoted his life to the exploration of the Truth and bringing happiness to people all around the world. He was born on July 7th, 1956 in Tokushima, Japan. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he joined a Tokyo-based trading house. While working at its New York headquarters, he studied finance at the City University of New York. On March 23rd, 1981, he achieved Great Enlightenment and awakened to the hidden part of his consciousness, El Cantare whose mission is to bring happiness to all humanity. In October 1986, he established Happy Science to convey the Truth. Since then, he has been giving lectures all around the world and designing spiritual workshops for people from all walks of life. He has published over 500 books, including The Laws of the Sun, The Golden Laws, The Laws of Eternity, The Laws of Happiness, and The Essence of Buddha. His books sold millions of copies worldwide.
