Barbara Nichols, (BarbaraNichols.net) is owner of Nichols Real Estate and General Contracting. She has written numerous articles dealing with liability issues for the National Association of Realtors' monthly Realtor® Magazine, which is distributed to 1.2 million agents. She also teaches a real estate course entitled “How to Stay Out of Court,” which has been attended by thousands of real estate agents. She has been in the building and real estate industry since receiving her master's degree from Cornell University and is a national expert in real estate risk management.
