About this Item

Inverse of front cover holds both the handwritten & typed name of former owner (acclaimed "saga of a paper mill" NW poet) Laurence Pratt as well as ex libris bookplate of his daughter. "Mr. F Farnham" has also been scrawled above title page. Overall, despite some tanning of pages, marks of soiling on back cover, and overall dinginess common to tomes surviving from this era, the odd indentation or bit of front cover chipping seems eminently forgivable. Very good plus. See photos.

These volumes represent the cream of my aunt's voluminous collection, which includes signed first editions from a friend's defunct Lincoln City store, antiquarian tomes a Reed professor bequeathed decades ago, and the art & design section of downtown Portland's long-lamented NorWester Bookshop. Given spatial constraints, I've little choice but to liquidate the inventory she spent a lifetime accumulating, but my dilemma opens opportunities for the right consumer.
