The Leader You Are

Behind every strategy, milestone, and team success story lies an emotional core that influences how we show up, earn trust, and keep our courage during critical moments. Yet, few leaders are taught how to handle this unseen side of leadership.

In The Leader You Are, Blake Repine, former US Army soldier turned senior executive and board director, opens the door to this hidden side: fear and doubt, hope and frustration, loneliness and joy. Through honest reflections and practical insights, he invites you to understand and harness the emotional forces that shape your leadership.

This isn’t a book with rigid rules or simple formulas. Instead, it’s a conversation and a guide to help you:

• Recognise the emotional patterns that influence your actions
• Lead through fear, doubt, and conflict with integrity
• Build trust and connection by embracing vulnerability
• Keep your energy and purpose alive without losing yourself

Whether you’re leading a small team or a complex organisation, The Leader You Are will help you accept the whole, human side of leadership and discover that your most significant influence doesn’t come from hiding your emotions but from leading through them with wisdom and heart.

Blake Repine has a Bachelor of Science in Multi-disciplinary Studies, a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership and an MBA. Blake is a Certified Professional with Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Director's (AICD).
