Character.

Long before people follow a leader's vision, they evaluate the leader's character. They ask themselves questions—sometimes consciously, often subconsciously:

Can I trust this person?

Will they keep their word?

Do they genuinely care about people?

Are they consistent, authentic, and dependable?
