Tanned paper, with several discolorations (stains and/or foxing). This is a large item and may require additional shipping charges to mail outside of the United States. An original leaf from "Inscriptiones Sacrosanctae," by astrologer and printer, Peter Apian (1495-1552), printed at Ingolstadt, Germany in 1533. This work was commissioned by Apian's patron, the important German banker Raymund Fugger, and gathered a selection of antique inscriptions from across Europe,drawn from theFugger family's extensive collection of antiquities. This leaf comes with a COA from Phillip J. Barber.
