This book presents both an overall framework and specific recommendations for advancing competitiveness, based on the MIT Lean Enterprise Models. It describes operational strategies, change management, the impact on workers, and management techniques. The book provides a picture of the lean company, outlines governing principles, identifies strategic goals, discusses risks, and emphasizes decision-making. Charts and diagrams illustrate the approach. The authors are consultants. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
