About the Author: Dr. Wei Zhan is an associate professor and program coordinator for the Electronics Systems Engineering Technology program at Texas A&M University. He received his BS degree in electrical engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, his MS, and DSc degrees in systems science and mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis. He has been teaching Lean Six Sigma to undergraduate engineering technology students at Texas A&M since 2008. Before joining Texas A&M, he worked in the automotive industry for eleven years as a system design engineer.

Dr. Xuru Ding is a technical lead engineer and a DFSS Master Black Belt at General Motors. She received her BS in automatic control from the Southeastern University, China, her MS and DSc degrees in system science and mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis and an MS degree in energy system engineering from University of Michigan. Since then, she has led numerous projects of Robust Design and DFSS, for improving product performance and quality, as well as teaching training courses on Robust Design and DFSS at General Motors.
