Stop Guessing. Start Finding the Real Fault.
Have you ever replaced a fuse, relay, sensor, or even a control module only to discover the problem was still there?
Do electrical faults seem impossible to trace because every test leads to another dead end?
Have you wondered how experienced technicians locate hidden electrical problems quickly without wasting time or replacing good parts?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, this book was written for you.
Learn How Professional Technicians Find Hidden Automotive Electrical Faults is a practical, hands-on guide that teaches you how to diagnose automotive electrical problems using the same logical methods professionals rely on every day. Instead of guessing, swapping parts, or chasing symptoms, you'll learn how to approach every electrical fault with confidence, accuracy, and a proven diagnostic process.
Whether you're an aspiring technician, working mechanic, automotive student, serious DIY enthusiast, or shop owner looking to sharpen your diagnostic skills, this book will help you think systematically and solve electrical problems faster.
Inside this book, you'll discover:
• How professional technicians approach electrical diagnosis from the very first customer complaint.
• A repeatable troubleshooting routine that eliminates guesswork.
• How to locate hidden power supply problems before replacing components.
• Professional methods for diagnosing poor grounds and voltage drop issues.
• How to track down open circuits, short circuits, damaged wiring, and hidden harness failures.
• Proven techniques for solving intermittent electrical faults that appear and disappear.
• The correct way to use multimeters, test lights, voltage drop testing, and scan tool data together.
• How to diagnose sensor circuits, actuator circuits, control modules, and communication network faults.
• Real-world troubleshooting methods for no-start conditions, battery drain, random power loss, warning lights, flickering lights, and other frustrating electrical problems.
• Advanced diagnostic techniques that help experts isolate faults quickly while avoiding unnecessary disassembly.
• How to build your own professional diagnostic workflow for faster, more accurate repairs.
• Practical ways to improve your diagnostic confidence, reduce costly mistakes, and verify repairs before returning the vehicle.
Unlike books that focus only on theory, this guide emphasizes real diagnostic thinking and practical troubleshooting methods that can be applied to actual vehicles. Each chapter builds on the previous one, helping you develop the habits and confidence needed to diagnose electrical faults efficiently and correctly.
Every accurate diagnosis saves time. Every correct repair builds confidence. Every problem you solve without guesswork makes you a better technician.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book.
