Learning AndEngine (Paperback or Softback)

This is a step-by-step game development tutorial about creating an Android game starting with a greenfield project and adding features each chapter to create a fully featured 2D-physics-based Android game, publishable to Google Play. Each chapter includes a partially completed game source code and every feature is explained in detail.
If you are a beginner to AndEngine, or mobile game development in general, looking for a simple way to start making games for Android, this book is for you. You should already know the basics of Java programming, but no previous game development exposure is necessary.
