About the Author
Chris Traylor: Chris Traylor has been playing drums for over 17 years. His initial interest was sparked in large part, by the drumming legends of the 70 s & 80 s Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, including John Bonham, Leonard Haze and Peter Criss. As well as fusion drummers Dave Wekyl and David Garibaldi. Chris became adept at many styles of drumming and eventually became a touring member of The Reflex Blues Band and Semi Delux as well as being tapped to perform studio work for various Bay Area recording artists. Alan Schechner: Alan Schechner has been playing the drums since the age of eleven. He formally studied music from junior high through college, where he earned an A.A. Degree in music. In addition, he took sixteen years of private lessons in technique, reading, soloing, and multiple musical styles from teaching legend Chuck Brown. This prepared him for live and studio work in numerous pop, rock, jazz, world, top-40 and R&B bands as well as musical theater, opera and symphony orchestras. He was also a national finalist in the Guitar Center Drum-Off Competition. A dedicated educator as well as performer. Alan is the author of 4 books and a DVD. Alan teaches privately at The Magic Flute and A Drummers Tradition in San Rafael, California.
