About the Author

Patrick McCormick, a native of Salem Oregon, developed a passion for music at age 8 after hearing the hard rock sounds of KISS and southern blues flavor of ZZ Top. Patrick picked up his grandfather s guitar and would sit next to the family record player trying desperately to emulate the sonic whaling of Ace Frehley and Billy Gibbons. Patrick relocated to California and his continued interest in guitar playing lead him to form several Bay Area bands before entering the corporate world. Never satisfied with a desk job, he decided to follow his musical dreams and co-founded Icons of Rock, a company that produces instructional media taught by several multi-platinum recording artists. Icons of Rock has produced titles featuring members of KISS, Steve Miller Band, Jefferson Starship, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne and many more. Greg Douglass is a versatile multi-platinum artist who has toured and recorded with Steve Miller, Van Morrison, Greg Kihn, Eddie Money, and others. Greg has appeared on over 75 albums and you can hear his guitar playing everyday on radio stations throughout the country.
