Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God." The comma in that sentence is the comma that changes everything. Before you can know that He is God, you must first be still. Perhaps you haven't been able to know God like you want to, and maybe - just maybe - it's because you haven't learned to truly be still. This book chronicles a journey of learning to be still in order to know God. Sometimes it's easier to learn if you can peek at another person's experience, and if that is true for you, welcome a journey of God at work. You won't find a formula within these pages. No formulas exist. Your journey won't look like this one, and that's okay. But it can serve as a guide to help you understand how to foster your own experience of calming, sitting, listening, and learning.

About the Author
Rarely seen without a cup of coffee in hand and a pen and journal lurking nearby, Bekah Shaffer loves capturing life and sharing it with those around her. She speaks and writes without pretense, willing to share vulnerably so those around her know they don't walk alone in the journey. She spends her days balancing her creative outlets of reading, writing, scrapbooking, taking photos, and baking. Bekah is married to her long-awaited answer to prayer, Ryan Shaffer, and enjoys adventuring with him, whether at home or on the road. Most of all, Bekah loves the Lord and her deepest desire is to honor Him with her words and her life.
