This volume is one of the earliest works by renown American scientist Victor Clarence Vaughan. The first edition was published in 1878, but was quickly superseded by revised editions in 1879 and 1880 as Vaughan's research developed. The book consists of notes on a collection of lectures given by Vaughan during his first years as a lecturer at Ann Arbor University, Michigan. Bound in original brown buckram boards with gold lettering to spine. Pages show some foxing and bumping to corners. Pages intact to spine but a bit loose on some pages. Boards a little worn to top and bottom of spine and showing some light marks and bumps. Gold lettering on spine. Language: eng".
