The final fifty pages addresses the application of Pick's method to studying French, Latin and German. The influential American psychologist, William James, said of Pick's method: ''Dr.Pick is a well-known authority on Memory. His lectures are based on solid psychological principles, and there is absolutely no element of charlatanry about them.'' Dr. Edward Pick (1825-1899) was an internationally known authority on memory and languages. He was born in Austria and resided in London.
