Thomson. 1881, 165 pp, 9.25 x 6.25 , cloth binding. In good condition, with minor superficial wear to boards, primarily along the edges and corners. Slight wear to head and tail of outer spine. Hinges are in good condition with minor wear and text block is intact. Ex-library from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, with a bookplate on the front pastedown and small markings elsewhere towards the front of the book. Library s name holepunched through the title page. General age-related toning to pages. Periodically illustrated with small engravings throughout. An interesting and scarce compilation of the lectures of Jean-Martin Charcot (1825-1893), a French neurologist known for his lengthy medical career and accomplishments, as well as his periodically controversial usage of hypnosis on patients.
