the most curious book, quite possible the rarest seen for a long time! cannot find another copy for sale! We will listen to offers please ask for any photographs you might wish to see. delightful piece of history in need of restoration, this contains lectures 1 to 24, the preface is dated February 1839, inside the binding has a date of 1853 but an advert states 1862, so dating is to be taken as best assumption. inside cover says the seventh edition, the binding has wear and rubbing, coming away, see pictures of the unusual print on inner spine and block ends, pages are of different sizes on some sections, we think this is when the book was printed in England and a catalogue of books for sale from Job Caudwell was added, some pages loosening due to binding , pages have been well thumbed! quite grubby edges but all very clear and readable, foxing and age toning throughout, cannot find another copy of this book of this age for sale to reference. this is a delightful original copy.
