You Left Me Once

What do you do when your heart is in the present but still lost in the past? The answer is not easy. In fact, it can be painfully confusing.
Emma Canton thought she had found her true love in Joshua Reed, a kind-hearted veterinarian who shared her passion for animals. But when her ex-boyfriend wealthy internet mogul Preston Burke returns to his roots in her hometown of North Conway, New Hampshire, her world turns upside down.
High school sweethearts, Preston left Emma ten years ago to pursue his career. He married Kashmir Rollins, an aging Academy Award-winning movie star with a history of addiction, scandals, and rehab. But due to a pending messy divorce and a mysterious incident involving Kashmir’s red Ferrari, Miami Detective Cabello gets involved and digs for the truth. As he delves deeper into the case, he realizes that there is much more at play.
Emma is torn between her loyalty to Joshua and her heart lost in the past with Preston. She soon discovers that Preston is hiding a painful secret. As Emma struggles to make a choice between the two men. She is soon haunted by nightmares of Kashmir telling her she is next. Emma realizes that she is caught in a web of deception, and betrayal that could destroy her happiness.
Will Emma find her true love in Joshua or Preston? Or will she lose them both to lies and deceit? A suspenseful romance novel that will keep you guessing until the end.

Some stories have a fairy tale ending. I will let you decide if that ending finds Emma.

Diana lives in North Carolina with her husband and pets! As an artist and interior designer, she's taken her talent to writing. With a vivid imagination from childhood to adulthood, and not to forget life experiences, Diana has been told she is magic with the pen (Keyboard!)  She enjoys knowing the reader can find themselves thrust into a vortex of mystery and fall in love at the same time with her characters.
An avid lover of animals, a gardener, and a love for the past, she can spin a story. Abandoned old homes are one of her favorite places for inspiration. The walls and land talk and she listened.
You Left Me Once was inspired when driving through New Hampshire on vacation, Diana saw a lone swing in a barren maple tree swaying in the bitter winds as snow fell. Not far from it was a decrepit farmhouse. Immediately a story was born. There was a life, a story and who swung as high as they could on that swing? The characters in this book of course.
I hope you enjoy my books and the journeys they will take you on!
