Berkowitz challenges conventional wisdom, citing verified news accounts, internal agency documents, and personal notes to demonstrate a bias against professional law enforcement. He uncovers a history of cover-ups and ethical compromises, beginning with the infamous "Yosemite Mafia."
- Explore the roots of noble cause corruption within the NPS
- Understand the impact of the "ranger image" on agency practices
- Discover the truth behind the Yosemite Mafia and their legacy
For readers interested in government transparency, environmental conservation, and the ethical responsibilities of law enforcement, this is a cautionary tale of an agency struggling to live up to its ideals.
