The Yale Babylonian Collection, one of the world's largest repositories of cuneiform inscriptions, includes many sizable groups of texts sharing a particular date, provenience, or genre. Its publications, designed to present these coherent groups in definitive editions, have set a standard in the field for over sixty years. This volume, continuing that tradition, is devoted entirely to archival texts dated to the reign of Samsu-iluna, king of Babylon.(ca. 1749-1712 B.C.) The texts assembled here were copied long ago and have been quoted in numerous extracts in the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary, for which they have supplied many valuable lexical attestations.

From the Back Cover
The texts contained in this volume formed the basis of the thesis of the late Dr. Samuel I. Feigin, presented to the Faculty of the Graduate of Yale University in 1923. It consisted of copies of the tablets and of transliterations and translations of certain documents preceded by an introduction.
