The Legend of Gulfstream

The Legend of Gulfstream tells the story of how Gulfstream Aerospace grew from a division of Grumman, maker of the World War II-era Wildcat and Hellcat, to the premier manufacturer of personal and corporate jet aircraft.

Gulfstream has seen its fortunes shift with changing times, economic policy, and new ownership. Yet in many ways, the tale of these storied aircraft is remarkably consistent: Gulfstream has inspired decades of loyalty among the people who design and manufacture the aircraft.

Best selling author, Jeffrey L. Rodengen has a degree in psychology and post-graduate degrees in engineering. Jeff began his career as a writer, producer, and director in Hollywood. More recently, the writer of hundreds of technical and general-interest articles, Jeff has authored nearly 50 books on American industry and technology. Jeff lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife Karine, award-winning photographer of the Classic Mahogany Boats and Classic Race Boats calendars, and their twin children.
