The Legend of Levy

The Legend of Levy tells the type of tale that became folklore in the old west. Levy Strickland is only fifteen years old, farming with his family in the great state of Texas, when an event changes the course of his life. Levy grows up to become a man and a legend. From fighting Indians to falling in love, Levy lives a life full of adventure. Follow the epic tale of Levy’s life in this homage to the dime store novels of 19th century. Told in an easy to read writing style filled with authentic flavor of the wild west written by someone who has put in his time in the saddle. Author, Bryan Gibbs, composed his first novella in longhand in a spiral notebook in-between time plowing fields with his tractor and ranching. His writing style is straightforward and honest just like the salt of the earth characters he writes about. If you long for a time when a handshake sealed a deal and a man’s word was his honor, you will enjoy reading The Legend of Levy.

Bryan Gibbs grew up farming and ranching in northeast Texas. He worked in law enforcement for twenty years. His duties included patrol, drug enforcement, and mounted patrol. He is retired from his law enforcement career and continues to farm, ranch, and enjoy the outdoors. Writing is his most recent pastime. The Legend of Levy marks his debut novella.
