The Legend of Luke Daisy

This is a story of friendship … and one incredible young athlete whose sports exploits become legendary. Surrounded by the events of the ‘60s – the World’s Fair, assassinations, earthquakes, Vietnam, and the moon landing – four kids born within a month of each other become lifetime best friends and face all of life’s challenges together. With courage and humor, Luke, Mouse, Hoppy, and Ellie deal with bullies, disease, and death, as well as the fear of high dives and the terror of asking girls out on a date. Each gifted in different ways, it’s their faith, their family, and their love for each other that carries them through whatever life throws at them. There are tears and sadness along the way, but much laughter and joy as they journey through life together.
