Synopsis

Miki is a baby meerkat who lives with his Mama in a zoo. He's happy at home with Mama and the kind keeper who cares for them, but soon he becomes curious about the wider world.

Then one day Miki ventures a bit too far out into the world, and he's not sure where he is anymore. Who do all these legs belong to? Soon the legs turn from animal legs to people legs - Miki really has gone too far!

But just when Miki feels completely lost, there are the keepers familiar booted legs, and here's the keeper to bring him home; and from his vantage point in the keeper's arms all the legs that seemed so intimidating on the way out are revealed to have friendly, happy faces with them!

About the Authors

Sarah J. Dodd grew up in the north of England and spent her time walking with her family, reading as many books as she could get her hands on, or dreaming about horses. Her first career was in Science, with a degree in Environmental Science and a PhD in Plant Ecology. Then she discovered her passion for working with children and became a primary school teacher. After living in Australia for a while, she returned to the UK andsettled in Lancashire, where she still lives. When she became a full-time mum, she began to pursue her childhood dream of becoming an author, and her first book was published in 2008. A lover of mountains, maps andmysterious paths, she will try anything once and loves to get her handsand clothes dirty in the name of fun and adventure. She is the author ofBeyond The Setting Sun, Just Like You, The Lion Picture Bible and Legs.

Giusi Capizzi studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania and has completed many illustration courses for children's books. She started drawing tales for her son and enjoyed it so much that she hasn't stopped! Since then, Giusi has worked for a number of publishers illustrating for education books, handbooks and magazines. In her spare time, Giusi loves to cook and sometimes she teaches tourists Sicilian cuisine...obviously,her cookbook is filled with illustrations!
